Tech-Bond Solutions
"When performance is a must!"

Need an answer "NOW"!  Talk to a Solutions Engineer.

Ever tried to find an answer ... to a question that should be easy?  "How to glue, or stick ... something to something?" ... and not be able to find help?  Frustrating, especially for a business with a deadline.  A greater irritant is when your conversation is with a company rep, and that person doesn't understand the chemistries involved and lacks real world experience.  Truly bothersome.  Tech-Bond's Solutions Engineers understand the chemistry and have decades of experience in the field working with companies and engineers on "How to".

Tech-Bond success stories

In the last few years, the Tech-Bond system has been the answer to many situations faced by a wide variety of businesses.  Examples of the solutions we helped engineer are listed below.  Our solutions engineers with their "hands on" knowledge helped engineers, production managers and small business owners solve their "How to" bonding problems.

•
An engineering firm needed to bond polyethylene to fiberglass with the bond retaining some flexibility.  One of our solutions engineers recommended a unique application methodology that helped solved the problem.

•  A repair shop wanted to glue starboard to plywood and was told time and time again that it couldn't be done.  Even "experts" from other glue companies said it was impossible.  Actually the solution to this problem was easy.  Our Poly Prep surface primer was the answer.

•  A leading company in the evolving hydrogen cell industry needed a system that wouldn't degrade when exposed to the various chemicals used in the cells.  The Tech-Bond system was the solution.

•  A company marketing Velcro® products needed a glue that would hold when the industrial grade 87S Velcro was applied to various sub-strates.  The Tech-Bond system was the solution.

•  Funeral Homes needed a glue that would withstand moisture and wouldn't crystallize when working with tissue.  The Tech-Bond system was the solution.

•  A consulting company needed a solution to bond polypropylene to fiberglass that would withstand petroleum.  Every system failed until Tech-Bond was tried.

•  A large energy firm needed to bond silicone rubber to stainless.  With the first glue, the silicone rubber just fell off.  Our solutions engineer spent time going over the relevant issues, the "How to".  With that advice, the Tech-Bond system held.

•  A small entrepreneurial company ... with big plans ... in the Midwest want to glue lexan to polypropylene.  They had a sample of this bond and could not repeat the performance with any other glue system.  They called the company who supplied the sample and asked them what they used.  The answer was Tech-Bond.  They got a Tech-Bond sample and it worked to their complete satisfaction.  This particular story does not have a happy ending though.  The bond was immersed in a caustic solution (NaOH) and that type of solution is one of the few chemicals that causes our bonding agents to degrade.  This company eventually went with a mechanical solution.

In each of the above situations, the solution required was more than just applying glue and sticking the pieces together.  If you have a "problem", talk to one of our solutions engineers to define that problems and the issues you face and then see if the Tech-Bond system might solve your problem.  We will be able to tell you if it should work and will definitely tell you if Tech-Bond won't work.

If we think that the Tech-Bond system is not the answer, we will do out best to point you in the right direction.  Our consultation is free.  Commercial pricing is available.

Solutions Engineers

A Solutions Engineer is a professional who has "hands on" experience in gluing different substrates together.  Our Solutions Engineers not only understand the physics and the chemistry behind the bonding process, they have actually done the gluing in the field.  This difference means that they will approach your problem with an understanding of the issues involved and will be able to communicate how you can proceed and/or whether or not we may be able to help with the solution.
