Tech-BondTM
Molecular Bonding System

truly "Tool Box Worthy"

Polyolefin Plastics and all other Polymers; Nylon, Delrin®, Mylar®, etc.
Consumers have found it to be virtually impossible to glue polymers which include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, polyester, nylon, silicon, Teflon®, Delrin®, Mylar® and the alphabet soup, UHMW's, PET's, HDPE,'s, ABS, UHMWPE's et al.  There materials are used to make everything from dentures to out cell phones.  Break one of these items and the response from retailers and manufacturers has been"So sorry, but you will have to buy a new one."

No longer will you have to buy new when you break an item made with space age plastics or materials.  Our adhesion promoter, the
Poly Prep™, will enable you to quickly and easily glue polymers ... easily, quickly and with strength.  A liquid, the Poly Prep™ can be sprayed or brushed on the polymer surface. making sure that the surface is saturated.  After applying, let the liquid dry and the surface cure for five minutes.  Once cured you can "glue" the surfaces with a bonding agent that forms a molecular bond with the polymers, i.e., a monomer.  Epoxies and ethyl CA's won't work satisfactorily, even after the polymer surfaced has been primed with the Poly Prep™.

Our 1 ounce and 80 milliliter bottles are topped with a pump sprayer.  In most cases, spraying a polymer surface to the point of saturation is the most effective way to "prime" it.  If a brush is used, make sure that the polymer surface is saturated with the Poly Prep™
Whenever taking off the cap, whether pump sprayer or brush cap, double check that, when the cap is put back on the bottle, that the cap is tight.  The Poly Prep™ evaporates quickly and will disappear if the cap is not seated firmly.  (Press down on the cap and then turn to tighten.)

To the Skeptic(s)
The Tech-Bond system does what we say it will do - primes the polymers so that you can glue them.  Your skepticism is based on real world experience which tells you that nothing will glue these plastics.  In ten years of experience in working accross many industries, TBS can proudly say that we have not had a performance complaint.

Why isn't the Poly Prep™ available in retail stores?
That's a difficult question to answer, but the primary reason is probably cost.  Since you really don't want to put a chemical that etches plastic in a plastic bottle, especially if that filled plastic bottle is going to sit on a shelf for long periods, a metal bottle has to be used.  Metal bottles, especially if those containers are smaller sized, are more expensive than plastic bottles.  Pump sprayers, the preferred distribution system are more expensive than caps and putting these pump sprayers on the bottles is not easy.  Sophisticated machinery, or a great deal of care, is needed.

Plus the Poly Prep™ will only work with "glues" that form a molecular bond.  Priming the polymer surface with the Poly Prep™ and then using an ethyl CA (super glue) or epoxy won't produce satisfactory resultsThough not difficult to use, the Poly Prep™ does require instructions that need to be followed in order for the user to achieve desired results.  Tech-Bond systems comes with a complete set of instructions and "how to" videos will soon be on www.tech-bond.net.
