No one glue works solves every problem.
When your problem is constant vibration, or an environment of extreme heat or cold, Tech-Bond's rubber-toughened (RT) series may be the solution.
Our RT series combines a structural adhesive with a rubber additive to provide:
• a broader temperature range before bond failure occurs (the range is 10 to 20 percent greater)
• a greater resistance to the stress of impact and/or constant vibration Tech-Bond's SI Bonding
Our rubber toughened Bonding Agents have small, rubber particles dispersed throughout the adhesive matrix. The profound effect of these particles is to change the mechanical characteristics of the adhesive making it much more resistant to vibration, shock and temperature variations.
Our RT series may be the solution you need if faced with extreme temperatures, or vibration.
RT 350, RT1000 and RT 3500 Bonding Agents (our RT series)
Tech-Bond has categorized our RT series by viscosity.
RT 350 has a cP rating of 350. This viscosity spreads easier and is the choice when there is a close fit.
Our RT1000 is thicker with a viscosity rating of 1000 cP and is easier to control. As viscosity increases, the ability to fill gaps increases.
RT 3500 is out thickest rubber toughened adhesive offering the highest shock resistance, largest gap fill capacity and is the slowest to cure when more work time is needed.
