truly "Tool Box Worthy"

 "When performance is a must!"

One of the most challenging repairs in the consumer marketplace is the repair of a broken hockey stick.  Since replacing a hockey stick can be expensive, especialy for families with more than one child playing, using the Tech-Bond system to repair hockey sticks can literally result in saving hundreds of dollars.

By following the instructions given below, Tech-Bond will fix composite, fiberglass and/or wooden hockey sticks, easily and more importantly, permanently ... that is until the next body check or high speed collision.

Frayed Blades
Apply a coating of Black or Blue Label Bonding Agent to the frayed end.  Sprinkle Filler* on the Bonding Agent, blow excess Filler off.  Repeat until the void is filled.  When most of the task has been completed, apply the Bonding Agent, then spread the Bonding Agent with a glue squeegee** to shape the repair.  Sprinkle Filler on the thin layer of Bonding Agent.  Repeat

Broken Blade or Stick
Prepare the surfaces by removing excess splinters.  Two surfaces should fit snuggly without forcing the two pieces togehter.  Thoroughly coat both surfaces of the break.  Press the two surfaces firmlly together.  Spray the seam with Activator/Accelerator.   Sand or plane any surfaces areas that protude.  Fill holes or cracks by applying Bonding Agent, then Filler.

As above, when most of the task has been completed, apply the Bonding Agent, then spread the Bonding Agent with a glue squeegee** to shape the repair.  Sprinkle Filler on the thin layer of Bonding Agent.  Repeat.

Wrap the repair with hockey tape, apply the Bonding Agent to the hockey tape.  Using a glue squeegee**, spread the Bonding Agent over the hockey tape.  Spray with Accelerator.   Wrap the completed repait with hockey tape.

*  Baking Soda can be used in place of Filler.

**  Any flat surface can be used as a glue squeegee.

The physics principle involved here is similar to that of a bone breaking.  When the bond heals the area of the break has more bone.  When there is a break, additional surface area is required to get back close to original strength.
